New NRA Shooter on iOS Geared to Kids 4+; Not Alone in It’s Efforts

As if the NRA doesn’t have the attention of nearly every conscientious mind in America, they felt it would take a little more to let folks now how much they love guns. How about making sure the little kiddies know it, too, and , well, let’s make it it easy all at the same time.

Released a couple days ago on iOS is NRA: Practice Range which carries a rating of 4+ according to the iTunes store and compatible with every (absolutely, every) iOS device on the market. The game is chock full of goodies such as 3 games modes, Indoor shooting, outdoor shooting, and skeet shooting, in-app purchases of new weapons and even “fun” NRA facts to boot. You can purchase new weapons like an AK47 or MK11 Sniper Rifle for the low, low, price of $0.99.

To be fair, the game does include links directly to their site content on Gun Safety, Hunting Season laws and regulation, and Legislation efforts supported by NRA and even against gun control in general, again, on their site.

The content of the game only has players shooting targets and not life-like NPCs, but the shock value still remains.

We say let’s not get all up in arms over this on the surface just because it’s the NRA. Games like Gun Assembler 3D Pro, a “Free Gun Builder and Shooting Range” also has a rating of 4+ and is available on the iTunes store right now.

Thoughts? Have you tried out NRA: Practice Range yet? Let’s us know what you thought on our forums!
